Cushing softballers Competing in national tourney

Sarah Hausner, a 2002 graduate of Cushing High School has logged a full season with Norman Thunder, an 18 and under girl's fastpitch softball team.

This week, her team is at the 18 and under Nationals, which are being held in Beaumont, Texas. Sarah is the daughter of Allen and Linda Hausner, of Cushing.

Hailee Murie, 16, and Gentry Loveland, 15, of Cushing, were chosen as pick-up players for this Norman based competitive softball team for this weeklong event.

Hausner, Murie and Loveland have been playing ball now for several years and have had logged full seasons with some very well known teams in Oklahoma. Hausner, with Norman Thunder; Murie having seasons with Cushing Dominators, Oklahoma Fusion and this summer season with Owasso Crush, which just returned from 16 and under NSA Nationals held in Atlanta, Georgia; and Loveland having logged seasons with Tulsa Firebirds and this summer season with Stillwater Steele, also just returned from a 16 and under AFA Nationals in Rockford, Illinois.

The three young ladies will be playing in key positions at this event -Hausner as pitcher/fielder, Murie as fielder and Loveland as catcher.
